Meet Annmarie: a lifelong lover of art and photography, with a particular passion for contemporary and abstract works. Her two favourite artists, Jackson Pollock and Van Gogh, captivate her with their expressive use of colour. As an abstract artist herself, Annmarie starts each piece with a blank canvas and a few select colours, allowing the painting to evolve organically through her holistic approach. She prefers to paint outside, where she can freely move the paint and let her creativity run wild. By the end, not only is the canvas completely covered, but so is Annmarie - her clothes, face, hair, and the surrounding area.
But it's not just about the finished product for Annmarie. The names of her paintings are determined during the creative process, when a particular idea or emotion strikes her. To further hone her skills and expand her artistic horizons, she continues to study with professional artists in London and Wanborough.
