These abstract portraits are created in mixed media but often just using acrylic paints. They are A3 or greater on acrylic or canvas paper.   Starting off as an abstract and building up the portrait with artistic intuition, happy accidents and knowledge of colour theory.  I like bright colours and play around with different combinations.  I have a love hate relationship with these paintings that can take months to complete.
